US Road Trips
Have we mentioned that our guides love to
travel? Whether you are looking to escape the dreary BC rainy season
by heading south, or aching to climb a big wall in Yosemite Valley,
we can get you there. As close to home as Smith Rocks in Oregon
or as far south as Joshua Tree in California, the distance is not
a concern, your climbing experience is!
Travel Expenses
Travel expenses include transport and a small amount of travel time
for the guide. There are no Slipstream ACMG qualified guides living
in these areas so it is necessary for them to travel there. If you
choose a time that our guides are already in this area conducting
a course, the Travel Costs are waived, making a cheaper experience
for you. Check out our Special Deals
page to find our when and where our guides are traveling.

SMITH ROCKS, Oregon
Do you fancy heading for warmer climates? Perhaps looking to clip
some bolts without the scary run-outs that some cliffs are famous
for. The main crag at Smith Rocks is a sport climber's paradise.
Some steep cliffs combined with some not so steep yet delicate and
precise cliffs make this a place for everyone. The space between
bolts allows you to focus on the moves without focusing on the fall.
Add to that the fact it is located in a desert that rarely sees
rain and you have the ultimate sport escape from BC's wet, cold
winters.

YOSEMITE VALLEY, California
Famous for it's long wall climbs of exceptional quality, Yosemite
also offers some good quality day routes if you would prefer to
come back to your campsite every night. However, if sleeping on
a wall and practicing/learning some aid climbing techniques appeals
to you, this is the place to do it. Put your hands on the holds
that created legends! Some examples of the routes we guide are:
Royal Arches 5.9 15 pitches
Have you ever wanted to free climb El Capitan but thought that
it was out of your reach? This is the route to do it by. 15 pitches
of excellent climbing that gives you a taste of what it means to
climb in The Valley. East Buttress of Middle Cathedral 10c (5.9
A0) 10 pitches. For views, this route can't be beat. The whole Valley
opens up before you as you climb a variety of styles including delicate
face climbing to off-width cracks. Bring your camera!

JOSHUA TREE, Palm Springs
Although you will never be soaring up high with the eagles, the
sheer ambience and atmosphere of climbing in this desert location
make it a place not to be missed. Mostly single pitch routes grace
these huge desert boulders but whether you want splitter trad cracks
or the kind of friction slab with mind numbing moves that haunt
your dreams, Joshua Tree has it all

RED ROCKS, Las Vegas
Red Rocks Canyon National Conservation area is located in the Mojave
Desert less than 25 miles west of the bright lights of Las Vegas.
Not only is the weather generally warm and pleasant in this climbing
region, but you have the chance to scale some of the most beautiful
varnished sandstone that can be found anywhere. Maybe you'll even
strike it lucky on your days off!
