Rock Intro

COURSE CONTENT
This 4  hour course is run on at Slipstream's custom developed cliffs in Paradise Valley and is ideal for families or groups who want to give climbing a try. The program begins with a brief chat about being in a cliff environment and an introduction to the equipment you will be using. We then get straight into  climbing with our instructors managing the rope systems to begin with and slowly guiding individuals into developing the skills necessary to manage the ropes themselves. A few basic techniques will be demonstrated that will assist you while climbing the rock faces. Beginning with easier climbs, you will be able to increase your level of challenge and individually progress at your own pace.

There is ample opportunity throughout the program to push your limits and surprise yourself with what you can do ! This course does not prepare you for adventuring into the outdoor rock environment on your own but it does allow you to discover whether you enjoy the sport enough to invest further time into it. We provide all the technical climbing equipment, harnesses and helmets required to participate in this course. This program is run at a maximum of 6 to 1 ratio .

Please note: Our programs are designed to make the most of your time and opportunities. Our guides will monitor and adjust the agenda to meet group and individual needs/goals and the objectives of the day.

DATES
Can be run any day of the week between April - September 2006 with a couple of days notice.
