Technique Courses
Do you stay away from routes requiring delicate
footwork and a sense of balance that you believe you just weren't
born with? Or maybe splitter cracks just never seem to be "perfect
hands" for you! Our custom courses can help you love the routes
that you have always loved to hate. Let us help you achieve those
routes you dream about. Become diverse.

Crack Climbing
FEAST OF FINGERS I
Come follow us on a full day of classic cracks and let us worry
about the where and how! Depending on how "hungry" you
feel, we can customize your day with a full course of jams, smears,
laybacks or even fingertip madness. This course takes place in the
Smoke Bluffs where time is spent working grades from 5.8 to 5.10a.
The emphasis is mostly on perfect sized fingers and hands and Penny
Lane, Mosquito and The Zip are just some of the classics you may
encounter. We will also show you how to tape up properly to save
you some skin and grief. Let the banquet begin!

FEAST OF FINGERS II
Still hungry? Our instructors are looking to satisfy you. A follow-up
to Feast of Fingers I, Feast of Fingers II will take you where you
have not gone before. We will work your grades and develop your
finger-work seeking to fill the gaps in your climbing repertoire.
This session takes place at the Base of the Grand Wall where time
is spent working grades from 5.10a to 5.10c. Learn to work with
some of the more difficult size cracks from tips through to "rattly"
fingers and thin hands on crack classics such as Seasoned in the
Sun, Exasperator, and Arrowroot.

Cost: 1 person: $278
2 people: $158 each
FEAST OF FINGERS III
For the more advanced player, the Feast of Fingers III seeks to
finely tune those fingers to have you making the most of every hold
on the climb. The energy you once used desperately clinging to jams
will be used to finish the climb clean and have the energy to climb
more pitches in a day. This course takes place at the Malamute where
time is spent working grades from 5.10b to 5.10d. It covers a full
range of cracks from tips to hands but with more of an emphasis
on endurance style cracks. Caboose, Hand Jive and Crescent Crack
are just a few of the classics you may encounter on this day. In
the end, it's all you can eat!

Slab Climbing
SLAB CLIMBING I
Does the thought of tiny micro edges scare you? Have you pulled
yourself up most climbs with no thought to how useful your legs
really can be? Well perhaps it's time to discover footwork because
even some steep climbs can have a few slab moves. Let us take the
sharp end of the rope so you can deal with the moves. This course
takes place at The Apron and begins with one of the moderate classics
Sparrow (5.9) but we can add some variations to increase the challenge.
Then we move onto the Upper Apron where even the micro edges disappear,
a great place to learn to trust your feet.
EQUIPMENT LIST
Cost: 1 person: $278
2 people: $158 each
SLAB CLIMBING II
You have had a taste but do you want more? Are you yearning to become
the slab-master? This course will finely tune your slab skills and
have you leading those pitches you once avoided. This course is
held at Shannon Falls where Local Boys (5.10d), and the first couple
of pitches on Magic Carpet Ride and Local Girls (5.10b - 5.11a)
provide the stage for learning this delicate technique. With a background
of the thundering noise of Shannon Falls, this day will be a climbing
outing to remember.

Sport Climbing
SPORT CLIMBING I
So you have been leading the same routes in your gym over and over
and are wondering if there is more to life than those 4 brightly
colored walls with bits of plastic bolted to it? Well I am here
to tell you that there is! Let us take you outside to a whole new
world of climbing. It will still be an adventure but with us there
to guide you through the art of anchor building and other little
peculiarities of outdoor climbing, it will a much smoother transition
to the outdoors (and probably a little safer too!).
This course will be held at Cheakamus Canyon, located about 20
minutes drive north of Squamish where the routes will be directed
at your own climbing ability. This course can cater for those climbing
anywhere between 5.9 to 5.10c. If you feel that your sport climbing
grade is higher than that I recommend our Sport Climbing II.

where the routes will be decided upon based on your own ability.
This course is designed for people climbing high 5.10's and 5.11
plus. If you feel that your sport climbing ability is currently
not up to those climbing grades, then I recommend our Sport Climbing
I, which is held in an area with access to lower grade sport climbs.
